Christmas time is often stressful for there is so much to do! It would be nice to share the easiest recepies to save time. If you want to write on this forum whatever recipies you can lay your hands on it would be nice
here is an easy christmas pudding recipe

Easy Christmas Cake
Ingredients
12oz Plain flour
1 Teaspoon mixed spice
4oz Ground almonds
8oz Currants
8oz Sultanas
8oz Raisins (stoned)
4oz Cherries (halved)
8oz Butter
8oz Soft brown sugar
6 Eggs, beaten with 8 tablespoons of milk
1 Tablespoon black treacle

Method
(1) Mix flour, spice and ground almonds together.

(2) Clean and mix fruit.

(3) Beat butter and sugar to a cream.

(4) Beat the eggs and milk together.

(5) Mix all these ingredients together.

(6) Add the fruit last. Bake for about 4 hrs.

First hour in a moderate oven 180°C (Gasmark 4), then slow oven at 150°C (Gasmark 2).

Thank you, Muriel, it seems easier to make than the recipe I have. I'll try but is it possible to find black treacle in France (mélasse) ?

Hi Guilaine,

I think you would find Black Treacle or Molasses at the Galeries Lafayette Gourmet on blvd Haussman in Paris.
They have a large section of British foods there.

Thank you, Krystyna, if I have the opportunity to go to the Galeries Lafayette in Paris, I' ll see to it.
But maybe I'll sooner have the opportunity to visit Dover or Canterbury. From Calais, it is nearly next door, isn't it ?
