While shooting eagles in the Aleutian Islands of Alaska, photographer Klaus Nigge took an unexpected approach—resulting in truly unique images of the iconic bird.

Nigge says in the constant rain and snow of the Aleutian Islands, eagles live a life full of highs and lows, “just like you and I."
