The Xiaowan dam supplies clean electricity to cities on China's southern coast, but it has displaced more than 38,000 people. Peruse through these photos and see how the construction of dams is affecting more and more lives along the Mekong River.

Harnessing the Mekong
Running for more than 2,600 miles, the Mekong River produces fish when it flows free and clean electricity when it's dammed. Therein lies Southeast Asia's dilemma.

Please feel free to point out big mistakes in my messages in a foreign language. Thanks to your remarks, I'll be able to improve my level.
PS: Pls note that I chose American English for my vocabulary, grammar, spelling, culture, etc.  :-)
