funny signs of hairdressing salons

Some time ago, Odile posted in the German salon an article about funny signs used by hairdressing salons. As expected, many of those signs punned on the English term «hair». Here’s another word play on «hair». Instead of hairdressing salons, it refers to the Easter bunny :

Along a highway, a driver gets a big hare under his wheels. He swerves to avoid the animal, but unfortunately he hits and kills it.

A lady driving down the highway, sees the guy in his dismay and pulls over.

«I accidentally killed the Easter Bunny», he lamented.

The lady pulls out a spray can from her purse, walks over to the corpse and sprays the contents onto it.

The Easter Bunny jumps up, waves its paw and hops off down the road. Ten feet away he stops, turns around, waves again, hops down the road another 10 feet, turns and waves, hops another ten feet, turns and waves, and repeats this again and again, until he hops out of sight.

Astonished, the man asks: «What is in that spray can?»

The woman shows the label. It says: «Hair spray. Restores life to dead hair. Adds permanent wave.»

Hare and Hair are homophones. And of course people need to know the context to make sense.
Here we can see that being stupid sometimes pays.
Does it really ? Or have I become stupid myself by reading this lovely story , which turns out as we all like it to turn out.
