Hi Gérard everyone
I just wanted to check that sentence. "I call you tomorrow" "Je t'appelle demain" In French "je t'appelle demain" is correct because you can use the present with a future adverb. In English it isn't and you have to use the future I'll call you tomorrow . why ? Here are the four cases when you use the simple present.
1. For repeated or regular actions in the present time period.
- I take the train to the office.
- The train to Berlin leaves every hour.
- John sleeps eight hours every night during the week.
2. For facts.
- The President of The USA lives in The White House.
- A dog has four legs.
- We come from Switzerland.
3. For habits.
- I get up early every day.
- Carol brushes her teeth twice a day.
- They travel to their country house every weekend.
4. For things that are always / generally true.

Hi Muriel,
Thanks for your lines.
I'm surprised not to find the rule for "When I'm sixty-four"
> In French "je t'appelle demain" is correct because you can use the present with a future adverb.
Are you sure?
Is it correct or is it acceptable?
Do French grammar books teach "Le mois prochain, je fais le tour des Etats-Unis avec ma nouvelle voiture" or "Le mois prochain, je ferai le tour des Etats-Unis avec ma nouvelle voiture"?

Gérard I had a look
https://forum.wordreference.com/threads/futur-simple-futur-proche-pr%C3%A9sent-pour-un-%C3%A9v%C3%A9nement-%C3%A0-venir.165047/?hl=fr
Le présent s'emploie pour exprimer un futur très probable, presque certain.
Ex : Demain, je travaille (je suis presque sûr que demain je ne vais pas jouer, mais travailler).

Re: English Idioms 4
Muriel, I don't understand why look for this on YouTube when you can simply ask Google Translate or an online dictionary; thus you are sure to find the pronunciation without counting on a possible "video".MurielB a écrit:Hi Gérard, everyone!
