discussion autour d'un ciné"zero dark thirty"by Kathryn Bigelow
[Seuls les administrateurs ont le droit de voir ce lien]A chronicle of the decade-long hunt for al-Qaeda terrorist leader Osama bin Laden after the September 2001 attacks, and his death at the hands of the Navy S.E.A.L. Team 6 in May 2011.
All along the film you feel uncomfortable. The film is very realistic and not at all the Rambo type film. It's mean and you hate the way people are tortured although you perfectly know that their secrets will stop massacres. You wonder if it is possible to avoid all that and remain humane.

I've seen the film, and very glad I could manage to see it before its close.
We are taken in the CIA's dealings to find out information through all sorts of means, being torture (in Poland or Afghanistan) or money (the purchase of a brand-new Lamborghini to a rich Kuweitian), or shadowings through the souks in Islamabad, or phone tappings... and we follow the efforts of the CIA female-analyst (played by Jessica Chastain) to persuade her hierarchy to attack the site where she is convinced Ben Laden is hidden.
Although we know the end, we are stressed all along the film as we discover the progress of the pursuit.
