Hi everyone,

I'm so excited!! Wow!!

April 30 is International Jazz Day 2013.
This event is organized by Unesco and -this year- by Istambul.
Every country is encouraged to celebrate this event.

Sorry, I don't think there will be anything in Calais or Lille but in Paris only. I know Lille is not far from Paris and that many of you can go to Paris easily.

So,

About 50 bands + talkshows + roundtables in the rue des Lombards from April 30 2:00 pm to Mai 1 2 am.
Free! Jazz everywhere on the street and in the 4 jazz clubs: Duc des Lombards, Baiser salé, Sunset & Sunside.
1 jour, 4 sites, 12 heures, 28 concerts, 48 événements
Of course, I registered (2 pm to 2 am Wink )

To register -> http://www.jazzdayparis.com/
Program -> http://www.parisjazzclub.net/fr/evenement-paris-jazz-club/
Information -> http://jazzday.com/ and http://www.unesco.org/new/en/jazz-day

Enjoy! I hope I will see you there!

PS: Who asked me why I'm living in Paris?

Yes Gerard, you are lucky to live in Paris. My daughter who has been living in Paris since she got married thinks the same. Unfortunately for us we will be in "Massif central" for a week from 29th. it is a shame Sad

Hi Muriel, hi everyone,

I was born in Provence.

When I got retired, I first said that I would go back there to be in a very nice region.
But...
I absolutely need to stay in Paris because I'm in close relationship with Microsoft, with industrial companies, etc.
I need to attend jazz concerts, have big stores, big events in my neighborhood...

We will see in a decade if I go down to Provence, maybe not. Smile

Hi,

I'm excited! Today will be a very long and passionate day!
The annual meeting of a company I like then jazz till 2 in the morning... then teaching a bit early tomorrow Wink

Anyway!
There will be fun in the rue des Lombards.
It's only the 2nd issue of the International Jazz Day but I already heard about similar meeting in that street. There are 4 jazz clubs within 25 meters and the celebration will be everywhere.
I won't take my guitar because I'm not good enough but I'll feel like playing, sure!
