othes: flat/puncture
You have to learn and understand and use the differences b/w British & American En
I insist:
- don't use randomly Brit/Am En in your sentences, you must stay homogeneous.
- in addition to vocabulary, there are differences in the grammar, in the spelling, in the culture, in the pronunciation, etc.
- be aware; if you don't master the differences, at least, try to avoid them (crops, underwear, car parts...)

I don't like this title "Prepositions"
I rather call them "Prepositional Phrases"

Re: Internet English Resources / EnglishIsFun -lessons
one way to be certain about the usage of the phrases is collecting them together when learning them. when you have your own dictionary where you gather your words, you shouldn't just write words but phrases where they can be used as well, e.g. potato, couch potato, jacket potato, fried potatoes, etc.
another way to memorize phrases is read a lot and watch a lot. thus you can see the difference between written and spoken english.
what i do when i start a book is put a post-it paper inside it, and when i encounter a new word/phrase, i write them down. same happens when i watch something. then you can carry these lists with you everywhere and have a look at them anytime.
oh, and another way to remember phrases, or phrasal verbs - make wordspots or word 'spiders', like this

Note the disposition: the "cintinuous" forms are considered as "sub-tenses" just like simple or perfect.
Note that Americans and Brits don't use tenses the same way: Am often use simple past while Brits use Present perfect.

I'm not totaly satisfied...
For example regarding "dress up", there's not the meanings I expected
such as "se mettre sur son 31", and "enjoliver";
these 2 meanings are frequently used.

The irregular verbs are not all there.
The list avoided
- to burn
- to learn
(2 verbs which are not the same in Brit and Am
(irregular in Brit, regular in Am)
