Are you a cuddly person ?
There are two categories of people in the world : The cuddly people and the non cuddly people.
The cuddly people are the ones you can approach and you can put your arms round.
Cuddly is like "tactile, warm, fuzzy touchy that type of feeling" and the opposite is "cold and prickly"

Re: Are you a cuddly person ?
Hi Muriel,
It depends on whom wants to cuddle me.
When my granddaughter gives me a cuddle, I'm very happy.

Re: Are you a cuddly person ?
Muriel,
I'm afraid it may be specific meanings.
For instance, "touchy" is rather negative; a touchy person is not someone you might hug as they wouldn't like.
As a matter of fact, to me "cuddly" is more for the ones who like to provide cuddles (fond of hugging) than the ones who like to receive cuddles... but I may be wrong.
I'm surprised by the definitions.MurielB a écrit:There are two categories of people in the world : The cuddly people and the non cuddly people.

Re: Are you a cuddly person ?
Gérard here is the definition
It 's the same for me. I would rather use "touchy" with number 1 definition.1. Tending to take offense with slight cause; oversensitive.
2. Requiring special tact or skill in handling; delicate: a touchy situation.
3. Highly sensitive to touch. Used of a body part.
4. Easily ignited or exploded.

Re: Are you a cuddly person ?
Thanks Florent for that very sweet video. I'm sure the polyglots are cuddly persons. It reminds me of a conversation we had on that very forum about to hug and to kiss
To hug is
We reached the conclusion that Hugging is much nicer. Of course it's the American way of expressing feelings !

There are people how are phobia (haptophobia seethis wiki for more) to be touch by others; there are no bad guys anyways!
Re: Are you a cuddly person ?
It's true Florent and in some cultures people don't even touch one another!

Hi Muriel, Florent,
Is it the "natural" way?
Hugging is what my 3-year-old granddaughter chooses to provide her affection.MurielB a écrit:... We reached the conclusion that Hugging is much nicer. Of course it's the American way of expressing feelings !

Re: Are you a cuddly person ?
I guess so but when you're neither a child, you can't hugg your parents, just say "I love you" and give a short kiss.
Re: Are you a cuddly person ?
Florent says that when we grow older we can't hug our parents. Perhaps we don't hug them when we want to refrain our feelings because we are adults ?Gérard a écrit:Is it the "natural" way?
