Thank you for improving my English. I use and have mainly heard used " staycation " to mean a holiday in the U.K. I have just come back from a staycation but not near my home. Just for fun and very informal/childish I have heard recently the phrase for holiday as " I'm going on my holibobs. ". Not really to be used in adult circles . johnB.
