The Huge Problem of fuel oil in France

Hi everyone,

From tonight, there are lots of debates regarding fuel oil in France... a huge problem!
- 80% of the sales in France go to a diesel car
- diesel motors are very bad to health (recent report of WHO-Word Health Organization - OMS in French)
- French governments promoted diesel from the French civil nuclear energy in the 1950s
- France is the specialist of diesel; many other countries banned it
- oil refineries product about 0,17l of gaz (US-gaz=GB-petrol=Fr-essence) and 33l of fuel oil (US-fuel oil=GB-diesel=Fr-gazole)
- French refineries cannot product enough fuel oil and the by-product gaz cannot be sold abroad; this leads to refinery closings down and unemployment
- French trucks and as a matter of fact transportation use exclusively fuel oil
- very difficult, quite impossible to take another direction
