Hi everyone,

MgCO3.
Magnesium Carbonate deposed Zeolithe as the champion of damp absorbion.
Rock-climbers and gymnasts know this product Magnesium Carbonate well as they use it often (magnesia as they call it), putting some on their hands to better hold bars or rocks.
A new method to prepare the powder was recently designed, without heating. The powder then acquire a high porosity and can absorb up to 50% of damp: a record.

NB: when we buy some electronical domestic appliances, we can see a small bag designed for absorbing dampness; as far as I know it is what I know Under the commercial name of "silicagel."
Silica gel is one of the forms of Silicium Dioxide SiO2 -> Silica gel -Wikipedia.
