As I didn't know the word "perky", I had a look on the internet
animated, bouncy, bright, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed (informal) bubbly, buoyant, cheerful, cheery, chirpy (informal) full of beans (informal) gay, genial, in fine fettle, jaunty, lively, spirited, sprightly, sunny, upbeat (informal) vivacious

An English friend of mine has taught me the expression "to be bright-eyed and bushy-tailed" and I find it very funny.
