It appears the BRICS would be broken

Hi everyone,
According to the General Meetings I attend these days, it appears BRICS are dammaged.
NB: BRICS=Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa area a group of countries on which businessmen counted to increase the market and profits.
Businessmen are now rather considering "Super Emergent Countries" of which Mexico, Indonesia, another country of south America, another country in Africa...
Depending on their domain and skills, a few companies (of which L'Oréal) simply bet on south Europe for their near future.
NB: Ah!
I often make a mistake with "next future" and "near future"... 
which one is good? I bet on "near future".

"Near future" vs "next future" is a common mistake made by French people.
Another correct expression is "close future".
