Re: Staying Alive is Not Enough

Could someone explain to me
why the plural "our heaads" (ok I agree)
and the singular "our heart" (surprised)?
Tx

Hello Gérard, Remy, everyone !
Yes it is difficult to manage certain difficult personalities but you can't always avoid them. They can be your boss, your colleague, your partner and even yourself. Everyone can be difficult at certain periods of their lives. I have read a very good book in French about that : "Gestion des peronnalités difficiles" from Christophe André. I found it so good that I gave a copy to each of my children when they started their working lives. it's very easy to undersand and practical.

Re: Staying Alive is Not Enough
Hi Muriel, Remy,
Regarding "suck"...
On another forum, a senior American told us that he never used this word which was vulgar.
He explained to us that decades ago, when it was used for the first times, the complete expression was "suck my cock", which is indeed vulgar.
Other younger Americans and Brits wrote that the original sentence was now forgotten and unknown and that this word was very frequent.
So, not use "suck" with anyone.
I was also told that the Queen was able to be very impolite and that her ears were used to hear vulgar words (and that her mouth was able to pronounce them at times).
