Each Other vs One Another
Hi everyone,
En "Each other" / "One Another"
Fr "l'un l'autre" ~ "entre eux".
French language doesn't make a difference between the cases: 2 people / more than 2 people so when speaking English, the French tend to transfer their pattern to English. They should not!
English is a flexible language but sometimes -and espacially here-, it is not possible to mix things: till now, it's a mistake!!
English does make the difference:
- when there are 2 people only: each other.
- when there are more than 2: one another.
Confusing b/w them is a mistake. Pls take note.
