Incomes in France by the Giants of the Web
Hi everyone,
It's a topic I'm interested in as it is my domains (finances and INternet).
We sometimes hear about the giant companies of the web that don't pay enough taxes to France (and to other European countries).
They'd take advantage of the new unlocalized sector (the Web) to hide and transfer money.
Yesterday, I could find figures on Les Echos (Thursday April 18, 2013 page 23):
Below figures for each company are Declared sales / Estmated sales / Taxes payed
(figures are M€ for France and for 2011)
Apple - 257 / 3,200 / 6.7 ie 100 / 1,245% / 2.6%
Microsoft - 584 / 2,500 / 22 ie 100 / 428% / 3.8%
Google - 138 / 1,400 / 5.5 ie 100 / 1,015% / 4%
Amazon.com - 110 / 890 / 3.3 ie 100 / 809% / 3%
Facebook - 0 / 140 / 0.05
The companies are charged for cheating on their incomes.

Hi Muriel,
By the way, the last figure of each line is the percentage of taxes but it is calculated here after the sales and not after the benefits, that's why it is so low.
NB: "Sales" is the American word for the British "Turnover" (Chiffre d'affaires).
