Excellent ! This is true, but very sad.
I wish computers could make us happier. They help us a lot, allow better connections, quicker communication, but do not make us happier, and often deteriorate our social life.

The picture is funny. Anyway I love progress, internet, Facebook, inventions. It is up to us to make a good use of them. Modernity is just a tool, a marvellous tool which can help our everyday life : Robots for elderly people, medecine improvement, internet which is a collective intelligence, our forum which allows discussions with the whole wide world (  you just have to be patient !)
Mind you, Science and research without a conscience would be humanity's ruin. Don't be a yes-man (Béni oui oui. Thanks to internet i have found the translation) distrust Money, Power and Sex

This series of pictures is funny but there are caricatures and mistakes.

Microsoft would be very happy to see that the best solution to lots of events is to use a computer.
However the present solution is rather smartphone or tablet, the traditional computer is out. A smartphone can be used on the Streets, in a forest, "anywhere".
There are also advantages over ancient ways.

I wish it could ! I am often in the forest, in the countryside, in urgent need of an app from my i-phone.

With my computer, if it is uneasy to get a connexion in the apartment I rent for winter vacations, I don't have any problem when I use tethering which consists in getting the Internet through the HSDPA of my smartphone and provide it to the computer.
On my way back to Paris, between Briançon and Valence I usally don't have a good connexion but it's over 3G (the minimum for the Internet) except in a location (the border of Hautes Alpes and Drôme) where I don't even have phone.
Between Valence and Paris, the connexion is very fine.

Gérard´ you write "connexion" Is it another special US spelling ? Never seen before  

No Ghislaine. I made a mistake using the French spelling, persuaded it was the good one (I knew there was a difference b/w Fr & En and thought I had the good one).
