The wind power industry is the industry involved with the design, manufacture, construction, and maintenance of wind turbines. Although the wind power industry is small compared to those of the conventional power generation technologies (hydro, coal, natural gas, and nuclear), it is growing at a much faster rate (25% per year, from 2002 to 2007).^[

 In this week's vocable I have seen that the wind industry is improving. As I live in Calais which is famous for its wind I am particularly interested.  The picture is Altaeros Energies American society. It can capture faster winds which blow very high in the air. They can now compete with conventional sources like coal with their abundant low cost renewable energy. It could be very useful couldn't it ?

Thanks for this exciting article in Vocable.

In my opinion, the wind sector is interesting but it is not the only renewable to be studied.

I guess this wind won't fuel our car engines :)neither the electricity produced by wind; Hydrogen has got a better future.

Gerard we have so much wind in Calais and I wondered if it could be useful !
