I guess "med" is medicine (Fr médicaments).
I personally think there a play on words between meds that need to be shaken before use and "to shake off" which, in the US, means get rid of (Fr se débarrasser).

Gérard, I couldn't understand either because I didn't know the meaning of "wee bit" and I had to look it up in the dictionary.  It means " a small amount". It's clearer now isn't it ?

In other words grand children are like angels coming from heaven and bringing us love, happiness etc. Mind you mine are staying with us next week so i have to add hustle and bustle  in our quiet house.
