Re: Staying Alive is Not Enough -2-
In 1900, the average life expectancy was 49. Today, thanks to advancements in medicine, health care and technology and improved personal lifestyle choices, we all have the very real possibility of two or even three decades of active life beyond what is considered normal retirement age. Our post-retirement years can actually be longer than the years we spent working and building careers. For the first time in history, there is now an entirely new lifestage that offers limitless opportunity to reinvent yourself, pursue your passions, repair your relationships, build new relationships, give back to your community, leave a meaningful legacy, and much more.
The key to tapping into and making the most of this new lifestage is to stop simply growing older and start growing bolder. Scientists and researchers have proven that subconscious “age stereotypes” formed in our youth and reinforced daily for decades by the media and by our culture in general determine, to a large extent, how we age. Those with positive age stereotypes live longer, are happier, healthier, and recover more quickly and fully from injury, disease and disability. Please watch our 400K Manifesto, like it and share it because the truth and the magic is this: if you can change someone’s attitude about age, you can change how they age.

Both butter and margarine serve the same purpose: they enhance flavor. We use them in baking, cooking, and as spreads. We’re so used to multiple options of both on supermarket shelves we hardly stop to think what we’re actually looking at, let alone how it’s made and what it contains. The one sentence summary of this article goes: I prefer butter from grass fed cows to margarine.
