Things may not be as simple I'm afraid.
As you can guess people have to make a living and feed the family...

It is true that things are not as simple as that. My daughter works for SNCF and studies "well-being at work" It is interesting to note that when people are happy they work better, there is less absenteism which is good for the company. So all in all companies earn more money when the employees are happy.
