This article is very interesting because it shows that the tongue position is very important to make vowel sounds.
We all know that in the past scientists thought that the non human primates didn' t make vowel-like sounds because their larynxes sat much higher in the neck than human larynxes do. It might not be true. We can also note that the non human primates are able to have the right tongue-position to make vowel sounds.
Why is it that the emergence of language remains a uniquely human ability ? It is a very tricky question and some scientists assume that it has something to do with the brain.

As it is a very tricky subject, and if you have something to add, please do. I will be very grateful for that.

The human brain is divided into two hemispheres. The left hemisphere is the "logical brain" and is involved in language and analysis and the right hemisphere is the "creative brain," involved in daydreaming and imagination. The left hemisphere controls the right side of the body while the right hemisphere controls the left side.
As it is a very tricky subject, and if you have something to add, please do. I will be very grateful for that.
