I have been retired for 5 years and my aim is no longer to increase my assets but to become more philosophical. I have just come across this article which I really like. Here are the main conclusions
The minimalists suggest that the things we own can be divided into three parts : essentials, non-essentials but improve our existence and junks (useless things we have not used for 90 days and can be thrown away including electronics)
something costs more than 30 euros=> wait for 30 hours before buying it (to be sure you need it) and everything more than 100 euros wait for a month
