Hi everyone,
Today, I spoke about American language and American people with a guy I've been knowing for long (we usually speak about computing).
He gave me the URL of a Web site he described as the best to learn, created by an American teacher: Jeff McQuillan.
Everything is free: oodles of free records and free lessons that you can download and install on an MP3 reader (I mean: if you have to take the bus, the train, if you like to trek: listen to the records, enjoy and learn).

I only went there to check the address was correct: tell me what you think!

Re: ESLpod.com
Thank you very much, it is a good website. I have just listened to the simple English stories for children. I enjoyed listening to them. Now I have a problem. Next week, I will be with my grand children. I would like to know if it is better for them to listen to well- pronounced stories from the computer or my own voice full of love for them but .....With a not so good accent

Hi Muriel,
I'm glad you liked!
Now re your question, in my humble opinion, the beloved voice of a granny is very important and they will probably remember for ever. However you can listen to the computer together and comment on them, tell stories to go on with the fairy tales of the computer.
Enjoy your grand children!
