Look at this public (or so) message on Facebook:

Can we have dust for dinner tonight...feeling the guilt after PQ's lemon tart for lunch (2 days in a row )

This message was written by my niece on her mother's wall - all of the 168 FB friends of the mother and all of the 720 FB friends of the daughter + you all, can read this.
I can swear mother and daughter get along very well.

Facebook now appears to replace vocal communication... people are more on Facebook than in real life. better than nothing but...

people's picture on facebook is terribly important especially among young people because it is a picture of themselves they have made up (Is it the truth ? It's not quite sure) Anyway, some teen- agers feel depressed when this picture is tarnished and it could become dangerous for their mental health.

I meant in the middle of their friends, with their tshirts and shoes and bags.

Anyway, is spite of all the problems with teenagers I like facebook !

However this doesn't look true about the relationship between some teenagers nor between some teens and their teachers... There are several echoes about resounding clashes.

Yes of course...Life is like grammar, there is always the exception which proves the rule.

I think that most of the time, Facebook is used to go further for young people who already know one another and meet in real life.
I think fighting (social harassment, attacks towards teachers) are on FB mainly, more than in real life as it is "forbidden" (they think it is permitted on FB).

Nowadays self image is very important ! What you look like in front of the others is of major importance. Advertising, press, television etc. have become very significant in our daily life and a lot people, especially among the young, have become narcissist. Facebook is a good way to show ourselves but is it a true image of ourselves ? can we exist without showing what we are ? mind you, be careful of the nacissit wound which damages self-esteem and can destroy a person especially when that person is in her teens

Personal image has always been important for teenagers and at the base of self-esteem that will lead life.
Facebook is a kind of magnifier.
