Tree planting : Helping or harming the planet
How tree-planting could help or harm the planet | Deccan Herald
However, for tree planting to make sense, it must be thought through intelligently beforehand. This means consulting local people and choosing the right species,A tree planted for every T-shirt purchased. For every bottle of wine. For every swipe of a credit card. Trees planted by countries to meet global pledges and by companies to bolster their sustainability records. As the climate crisis deepens, businesses and consumers are joining nonprofit groups and governments in a global tree-planting boom. Last year saw billions of trees planted in scores of countries around the world. These efforts can be a triple win, providing livelihoods, absorbing and locking away planet-warming carbon dioxide, and improving the health of ecosystems. But when done poorly, the projects can worsen the very problems they were meant to solve.

plants are affected by the racket of urban traffic
Plants are adversely affected by the racket of urban traffic | The Economist
It is certain that plants do not have ears. However, it is quite possible that they are affected by man-made noise. But not directly. Animals that interact with plants may experience a change in their behaviour in response to these noises, which in turn has an effect on the plants themselves.
They get stressed and grow less well
Animals depend upon sound to find food, detect predators and communicate with one another. These species understandably suffer when loud motorways cut through their habitats. Some cope by singing more loudly, some change the timing of their calls to occur when fewer people are driving, others just move to quieter locales; What about plants ?

Re: Ecology and How to slove global warming
Well, I've read somewhere that plants, incredibly, can see, hear, touch, sense as well as animals do. They have a mind. They communicate together when there is a danger, exchange subtances like sap. They suffer etc...
So vegan are probably wrong when they eat plants and not animals, because plants are sensitive beings, as well as animals are. Should we eat minerals ?

Yes, it would be good to eat zinc, but beware of lead for example as it could be dangerous !

Fashion and climate change
I've read that washing, solvents and dyes used to make fashion items are responsible for one-fifth of industrial water pollution, and fashion also generates between 20 and 35% of the plastic micro-particles that end up in the oceans. Consequently we need strong, French-made garments made in France for us. They can be second-hand to avoid waste.

The world’s population has reached 8bm don’t panic

For me the solution does not lie in "controlling numbers" but "in changing lifestyles". "To fight global warming, we must not be less, but we must all work together to achieve greater sobriety and less consumption in order not to plunder the earth but rather to create harmony with it and its inhabitants
something about global population trends seems to send otherwise sensible people over the edge. According to the United Nations, the planet’s population is due to reach 8bn on November 15th. Alarm bells are clanging. Population pessimists have long predicted mass famine. Now they add prophecies of environmental disaster as a result of too many people. Others worry about the opposite problem: “population collapse due to low birth rates”, tweeted Elon Musk, the self-proclaimed “chief Twit”, “is a much bigger risk to civilisation than global warming.” In fact, looking at population change during the past decade suggests neither of these mutually contradictory divinations of doom will prove correct.
It took a dozen years (from 1998 to 2010) for the global population to grow from 6bn to 7bn. It has taken the same length of time to notch up the next billion. Against the backdrop of catastrophising, it is worth recalling what is behind this growth: longer lives, improvements in nutrition and public health; falls in infant mortality, disease and maternal deaths in childbirth. The world’s population carried on growing even in the teeth of the covid-19 pandemic, despite the virus killing—according to The Economist’s best estimates—between 16m and 28m people.
