I don't like much Muriel.

It doesn't mean my world is the entire world but my world is limited by my language capabilities.
I preferred Kennex's motto (tennis actor) which is more positive an dynamic: "The world is my playground".

Gérard for me that motto is not negative.  My world is limited by my language  because it represents  one vision of the world. with another language you have another vision and others  still more. In that sense it is the promotion of polyglotism.

Anyway Gérard, because you don't like it, I am pleased to have chosen

No, it's not negative but rather restrictive to my mind. I'd have preferred a more dynamic thought, a more encouraging advice inviting to lean more and better to have a wider panorama - do you see what I mean?

I posted this for you: you are the admin of the forum, the person who is the most capable of promoting language learning.

Gérard I believe in "collective mind".  The sum total of ideas, knowledge etc of everyone is greater than what just an admin might think.
You are as envolved in the project as I am (You write more than I do)
We can change the quote from time to time and replace it as you suggested by
