You're right Muriel.
However, there's always the possibility with any Navigator to increase the font. For example in Internet Explorer, we can press Ctrl-+ (several times if needed) to increase then Ctrl-0 to go back to normal size.

The French "virgule" is the English "comma".MurielB a écrit:Gérard is virgule comma ?
The English "virgule" is the Frenglish "slash" ( / ).

Re: 1 English idioms
I do agree Muriel.
However grammarwise money has several names in English as well as in French or any language which means money can be seen from different points of view and that's good!

Re: 1 English idioms
Gérard, everyone
It is important to note that step parents are different from parents -in -Law. In French it is very confusing because it is usually the same word.
Step parents (step mother and step father) are the second mother or father when the other parent marries again after separating from the true parent or when the true parent dies (mother or father)
The parents -in -Law (father or mother) are the father or mother of one's wife or husband

Re: 1 English idioms
Right Muriel... but how to get diamond rings, pearl necklaces, etc?
(a solution is to celebrate them every 5 years only -the time the husband can save enough money-)
Once every 5 years is a good optimization of the calendar (a good gift helps swallow the bitter pill).

Hi Gérard, everyone !
I prefer subjective opinion because it opens communication with the others. Anyway, on certain subjects I am very opinionated and can’t stop myself from a strong expression of what I think. I know that it is boring for those who listen to me but it is difficult for me to change that behaviour.

Gérard I remember what our children 's English teacher used to say "Make a line by the door" I found that sentence very concrete and typical English. (In French : Mettez vous les uns derrière les autres)

Muriel, you didn't translate everything.MurielB a écrit:Gérard I remember what our children 's English teacher used to say "Make a line by the door" I found that sentence very concrete and typical English. (In French : Mettez vous les uns derrière les autres)
I guess the teacher wouldn't have said "Make a line by the door" if the students were about to leave a stadium.
On the other hand, a FRench teacher could say "en une colonne près de la porte".
